Frequently Asked Questions
How much hair do I need to collect?
We need approximately 50 strands of hair about 1/2 inch in length. This would be a small pinch of hair.
What if I can not provide a hair sample?
Customers who do not have a hair sample or who have hair that is not sufficient length may alternatively submit a saliva sample with a traditional cotton swab.
What do I do if my phone doesn't scan the QR code?
In order to submit your collection kit successfully, you must complete the online registration of the collection kit. Every kit is assigned at 6 digit number which can be used to look up your account. If you are trying to register the collection kit, please not that note that not all Android phone cameras identify the QR code. Contact our team and provide us with the 6 digit code marked on the kit QR codes so we can send you the correct registration form via email.
What if my hair is dyed?
Dyed hair will not affect the testing and is permitted. Please reach out to support@remedytest.org if you have any additional concerns.
How fast is the turnaround time?
Once we have received your hair sample at our testing center, you or your referring practitioner will receive results within 3 business days. Please allow for adequate shipping and handling time.
